Aquela camisa está limpa : That shirt is clean : Het overhemd is schoon.


Sujo : Dirty : Vies

A sua face está suja : His face is dirty : Haar gezicht is vies.


Onde : Where : Waar

Onde está a mãe? : Where is the mother? : Waar is mama?
Ela está na casa de banho. : She is in the bathroom. : Zij is in de badkamer.

Mau : Bad (stink) : Vies  - 

"Vies" pode ser usado em várias situações, mas por norma está associado a algo que é mau.

As meias cheiram mal. : The socks stink. : De sokken ruiken vies.
O leite cheira mal. : The milk stinks. : De melk ruikt vies.

O menino visita a avó no hospital. : The boy visiting his grandmother in hospital. : De jongen bezoekt zijn oma in het ziekenhuis.

Doente : Sick : Ziek

O homem está doente. : The man is sick. : De man is ziek.

Estás doente? : Are you sick? : Ben jij ziek?
Não, não estou doente. : No, I'm not sick. : Nee, Ik ben niet ziek.

Como estás? : How are you? : Hoe gaat het met u?
Eu estou doente. : I'm sick. : Ik ben ziek.


Cansado : Tired : Moe

O menino está cansado. : The boy is tired. : De jongen is moe.

Estás cansado? : Are you tired? : Ben jij moe?
Não, não estou cansado. : No, I'm not tired. : Nee, Ik ben niet moe.

Cheirar : Smell : Ruikt

A mulher está cheirando o café. : The woman is smelling the coffee. De vrouw ruikt aan de koffie.
As flores cheiram bem. : The flowers smell good. : De bloemen ruiken lekker.
As meias cheiram mal. : The socks stink. : De sokken ruiken vies.
O homem está cheirando o leite. : The man is smelling the milk. : De man ruikt aan de melk.

Alto (a) : Tall : Lange
